Every visitor who visit my blog is not commenting on my posts / articles. Industry survey says there is 2% or 3 % from your visitors commenting your blog. Why so less because people are not bother to comment any where until and unless they might get benefit out of it.
If I say if you comment on my blog you will get good benefit out of it. I am sure you will love to comment as well as you will keep commenting on my blog. The main befits are as follows.

If you landed to my page and you put down any comment at the end of the comment there is link of your latest post and this link can attract new visitors to your blog. For this you must have a catchy Title and killer content.
Get more Visibility in blogger Community
When ever you are reading good article you might be checking comments for that article. I hope more then 85% blogger are doing the same. If you are sharing good comment or informative comments you will automatically get more visibility to other Blogger.

I absolutely agree with you on the comments part. People are simply not interested to react unless there is a direct benefit out of it. The way you have opened the eyes with the in-direct benefits of comments, I hope visitors will take a notice of the same and react.

I agree fully. Posting in forums and commenting on blogs is a great SEO technique.
You certainly make it enticing to post on your blog with dofollow comments, but that’s not the only reason one should comment. I agree that being more visible to other bloggers is also extremely helpful.

All good points but one shouldn’t ignore commenting on blogs with no-follow tags intact.
I use do-follow on my blog and comment luv, seems like the right thing to do.

I find that after spending the time to write interesting articles, whilst of course it’s never going to be a requirement, it’s nice if people leave commments, helps add interest to the article and stimulates further discussion.. But, you’re absolutely right, the ‘norm’ is for people to stop by and read the information they are looking for and then disappear.. Please people – say hello!

I far as i know, it help increased the backlinks of a blog and as soon as the comment is publish, the latest or last post of the site of the commentator will be visible..That’s the reason why many bloggers were trying to comment on a commentluv blogs.
