Again this article is also in line of 4 things Bloggers should learn from 3 Idiots which I wrote back in January at Shoutmeloud.

When I had seen this movie, Once upon a time in Mumbai, then I think Let’s Rewind blogging life I had seen till now and write one post which talks about Bloggers in the line of Once upon a time in Mumbai. If you keep reading this blog post you will keep getting feel of the movie and It’s wonderful dialogs.

I started my blogging life with Blogspot like many other blogger and then gradually as I become more familiar with Blogging I just do Blogger to WordPress migration.

So let’s Start Rewinding Blogging life what I learn till now.

You must listen the Dialog that “Himmat batai nahi Dikhai jati hai” in the same manner when we want to blog about something then we must have guts to write our own and creative content. You must listen 100 times that Content is KING and yes one more time I will tell you Content is King. The more unique content you write the more probability to get good ranking. Google don’t like duplicate content.

When you are doing plagiarism (content theft) you are harming you blog. It as good as Smoking Habit, you are not going to die in single day but still smoking harms. If you are have very good blog and you want your content to be safe then you can protect yourself from Content Theft by WordPress plugin.

I forgot to mention that this Title is (Content churaya) is suggested by Internet Marketing Journal Co- Founder, Dipali Thakkar.

Many bloggers fails to take advantage for Social Media and Comment on others blog. When you are in Bloggers world then you start to do compliment each other not competition with each other. Commenting on Others blog can give you advantage of Backlink, New Visitors, Personal Branding, new Contacts and so on. While you are also active on Social Media then It will be added advantage you can use this to making news Friends and Facebook Fans too.

Social Media is power tool for bloggers. You can cerate your own Brand among your niche. It not only helps you have more visitors but also helping you to take advantage of Viral Marketing.

Stop smiling guys and let’s be serious. This is for keep continuity in blogging. You should keep blogging on regular intervals. It should not like that in day/week you post 3-4 post and then disappear for few time and again come with some random post.

It is also not mean that you should keep blogging Daily. You must have regular interval in you blog. Daily, Weekly, Fortnight etc. If you are updating your blog regular your visitor must be knowing that He/She will get next update after certain interval. If you get time once to write more then one blog post then I will advise you to use schedule posting. This facility is available in all major blogging platform.

Many time you might be read that Niche Blog can help you to earn more and get some specific kind of visitors (based on topic). This is very true said but you have to keep in mind above said Dialogue  (dialog) that Don’t try to pull the Cart if you are Lion. If you are planning to have niche blog only for Adsense then think again. Choose your topic wisely.

If you feel “Nano Technology” buzzing thing and you should blog about it, but think before act. Just check your strength for that Topic. Just take an example if  you are Commerce Student then why don’t you to start blog about Financial topic or economics compare to any Pure Scientifically subjects.

Yeah ! Being blogger is can give lot many things. Starting from Flexible timing, To work with you Passionate Subjects, Name and Fame and of-course Money too. If you are part time blogger then It might be some extra money for you and If you are full time Blogger then literally Sky is limit.

Blogger to WordPress Redirection

Many bloggers who start bogging for understand the things, getting used to with these termilogy, earn money without investment and so many other reasons, mostly they start with Blogger.com which is free utility by Google. Even I am one of them. But when you are used to with these and at that time you feels that I should start my site with WordPress self hosted site as WordPress has many advantage in terms of SEO, Plug-in etc. But now great question is my blogspot blog is very popular and now I don’t want to loose my visitors while moving to new domain blog. Did I got trapped? No dude there is still a way to come out from it and make 303 redirect to your blogger blog to your self hosted blog.

I am sharing my own experience with you how I did the same. I was having blog about Mr. Narendra Modi, CM, Gujarat and leading politician of India. It’s url is thenarendramodi.blogspot.com and now it is http://www.thenarendramodi.info

If you are also planning to move your blogspot blog to wordpress selfhosted site then you have two options :

1. If your blog is too much popular and having good PR (Page Rank) and you want to maintain it and don’t want to loose much on PR as well as back-links (in some cases). In this case you must have patience to wait for 3-4 months for things going set. This is a bit long procedure but if you have time to wait then you must follow this procedure. 2. You can’t wait for your new adventure (website) and you are not much concern about your PR then you can move your blogspot blog to new selfhosted site in maximum half an hour to one hour. It’s it cool ?. Well this will be post to post conversion, I mean if any one try to open any of your blogpsot link like http://thenarendramodi.blogspot.com/2008/05/mukesh-ambani-praises-narendra-modi.html will automatically redirect to your new site like http://www.thenarendramodi.info/mukesh-ambani-praises-narendra-modi/ This will be explained in detailed at http://www.devilsworkshop.org by Rahul Bansal.

What I did for transfer my blog ?

• Purchase new domain & web space. You can get good deal for the same from my hosting provider.



• Install wordpress CMS from wordpress (One of the best CMS, I had ever seen till date)
• Transfer all post from blogspot blog to this site using wordpress import blog feature.
• Install Blogger To WordPress 1-2-1 Redirection Plugin and couple of other plugin
• Update my blogspot blog as per instructed by Rahul @ Blogger To WordPress 1-2-1 Redirection Plugin guide page.
• Cross my fingures and search for my blog and click on the result.
• That result link will lead me to my new blog and I just cheer up.

I must admit here this is very easy procedure is explained by Rahul Bansal and one can do it easily if he / she is bit technical person.
